In 1992, when we left Belgium for Ireland with our 4 children, we lived and truly appreciated the hospitality of its inhabitants and the “Bed &Breakfast” concept. Since then, when travelling, we enjoy so much the way hosts welcome us and open their house.
In 1998, back in Belgium, we bought “Edenglen”. Children were progressively leaving the nest, to build their own life. Hence, we needed to find another aim to this big house.
After 4 years of thoughts and ideas, we started main renovation works on the first floor and opened two guests rooms.
Why such a name as “Edenglen” ? This name is a true family invention coming from “Eden”, meaning paradise, and “Glenn” which, in Gaëlic, means valley.
As to “Couette & Café”, this is how locals in Quebec name “Bed & Breakfast”.
